Winter of 2016 we started a band called JUST ME AND MY GUN THAT I’M CLEANING and began writing songs. Someone described us as a “violent witch-themed homoerotica supergroup.” November of 2017 Kiril and Ronald took a bus from New York City up to New Bedford, Massachusetts, and tracked all the drums for this EP in a small concrete room with Mack Williamson. Then we took a break for about 6 years. On March 20, 2023, October tracked guitars for this in 39 minutes flat. A dozen days later on April Fools’ Day, Cam and Ben slammed a 12 pack of PBRs and haphazardly recorded parts out of some Peaveys. Kiril screamed, growled, said, and whispered the words. During the next half of a year, Ben sent dozens of mixes where the bass was way too loud. Summer of 2023 we mastered it, Joe Lambert made it huge, and described the EP in one word—”pummeling.” Cam still hasn’t listened to the masters. The dexterous and masterful Dan Bones was gracious enough to work with us to make the most fully sick album art the world has seen to date.
Let us know if it rules. Let us know if it sucks.
Thank you for listening.
